Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services offered by Sarah Coleman, including without limitation translation, editing, proofreading, post-editing, and transcription services. By engaging any of these services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Pricing and Quotes
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in Euros and calculated based on the requested service, language pair, technical complexity, and urgency. An order becomes binding and definitive once the Client accepts the quote or issues a purchase order. Sarah Coleman is under no obligation to start work until one of these two elements has been received.

Orders
Sarah Coleman will make every reasonable effort to perform the services in line with the Client's specifications. The Client agrees to provide any reference material it deems helpful to assist Sarah Coleman with the assignment. The Client warrants that all documents provided to Sarah Coleman are accurate and lawful, and that the Client holds all necessary rights to them. Furthermore, the Client warrants that all files and materials provided are free from viruses, malware, or malicious code.

Deadlines and Delivery
Deliverables will be transmitted to the Client via email or a digital platform chosen by the Client. Sarah Coleman will use all reasonable endeavors to meet agreed delivery deadlines. However, deadlines are estimates only and late delivery shall not entitle the Client to compensation unless explicitly agreed between the Client and Sarah Coleman.

Invoicing and Cancellation
Unless otherwise stated, invoices are payable within 45 days of delivery. Late payments will incur interest at three times the legal statutory rate, along with a mandatory fixed recovery fee of €40, pursuant to Article D. 441-5 of the French Commercial Code. Should the Client cancel an order, all work completed up to the date of cancellation will be charged in full.

Liability
The Client acknowledges that language services involve an inherent element of subjective interpretation. Consequently, the Client agrees to provide Sarah Coleman with any feedback regarding the delivered work. Sarah Coleman undertakes to review the deliverables and implement legitimate adjustments within 15 days of delivery. Past this period, the deliverables shall be deemed accepted without reservation.
Should Sarah Coleman be held liable for any breach of contract - the burden of proof resting on the Client - compensation shall be limited solely to direct damages suffered by the Client and shall not exceed the amount invoiced for the relevant service.

Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Should a dispute arise, the Client may reach out to an accredited consumer ombudsman. In any case, both parties will seek an amicable solution before taking legal action.
